หัวเรื่อง:แบบแผนการดื้อยา และค่าความเข้มต้นต่ำสุดของสารต้านจุลชีพในการยังยั้งการเจริญเติบโตต่อเชื้อ Shigella spp. ในประเทศไทย ผู้เขียน:Aroon Bangtrakulnonth, Jaowapa Jerngklinchan, Srirat Pornrungwong, นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractIn-vitro drug resistant patterns and minimal inhibitory concentration 9 antimicrobial agents against of 4 serovars of Shigella spp. were determined. Two hundred strains obtained from WHO National Salmonella and Shigella Center consisting of Shigella dysenteriae (21 strains), Shigella flexneri (83 strains), Shigella boydii (20 strains) and Shigella sonnei (76 strains) were used. The tested drugs were Ampicillin (AM), Cefazolin (CZ), Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMX), Chloramphenicol (C) Tetracycline (TC), Ofloxacin (OFX), Nalidixic acid (NA), Streptomycin (SM) and kanamycin (K). All isolated tested were 100, 100, 98.5 and 97.5% sensitive to OFX, CZ, K and NA respectively. Resistance to AM, C, TC, TMP-SMX and SM were in the range of 9.2 – 90.5%. Most of the strains except 11 strains of Shigella sonnei, 7 Strains of Shigella boydii and 4 strain of Shigella flexneri were resistant to at least 1 drug. Muiltiple drug resistance was more common than single resistance. MIC of OFX and CZ were in the ranges of 0.03-0.125 ?g/ml and 1-4 ?g/ml while MIC50 and MIC90 were 0.06, 0.125 ?g/ml and 2, 2 ?g/ml respectively. MIC for SM, TC, C and AM were in the range of 1-64 ?g/ml MIC50 and MIC 90 for the most of 4 drug resistant strains were 64 and 64 ?g/ml. However MIC50 and MIC90 for TMP-SMX were 16 and 16 ?g/ml. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Salmonella Prevalence in Slaughtered Buffaloes and Cattle in Champasak Province, Lao People’s Democratic Republic) ผู้เขียน:Thongsay Sychanh, ดร.สุเจตน์ ชื่นชม, ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์, Chaiwat Pulsrikarn, Srirat Pornreongwong, Patharaphorn Chaichana, นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThis is the fi rst local study of Salmonella prevalence in slaughtered buffaloes and cattle in Champasak province, Lao PDR. In total, 269 animals (225 buffaloes and 44 cattle) were examined for the presence of Salmonella in mesenteric lymph nodes, caecum, abdominal and diaphragmatic muscles. The proportion of slaughtered buffaloes and cattle identifi ed as positive for Salmonella was 6.69%, with 7.11% in buffaloes and 4.54% in cattle. The highest proportion was identifi ed in the Houayset (9.67%), followed by the Nasaykham (6.25%) abattoir, and the lowest proportion was found in the KhanGneng abattoir (5.37%). No Salmonella was found in the Houayphek abattoir. Only 3.25% (22 of 676) of all samples collected were identifi ed as contaminated with Salmonella. Out of 22 isolates, four serotypes and three untypable Salmonella-attributed to serogroups B, C and E, were identifi ed. S. Weltevreden accounted for 45.45% (10 of 22) of the total isolates, followed by S. Brunei 22.72% (5 of 22) and S. 8,20:-:- 13.63% (3 of 22), while a similar level of 4.54% was found for S. Typhimurium, S. Bovismorbifi cans, S. 4.5.12:b:- and S. 8,20:y:- . The results indicated that slaughtered buffaloes and cattle sampled in this study served as sources of Salmonella in humans. Hence, slaughterhouse surveillance of Salmonella and other food-borne diseases is needed in order to prevent Salmonella from reaching foodstuffs meant for human consumption. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Comparison of Plasmid Profiles and Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns of S. enteritidis Isolates in Thailand) ผู้เขียน:นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์, Wichai Suphasindhu, Benjamas Intarasri, Aroon Bangtrakulnonth สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractTwo hundred isolates of S. enteritidis from human and chicken meat in Thailand between 1990 and 1997 were studied for antimicrobial susceptibility using disk diffusion method. The results showed that 40% of the isolates from both human and chicken meat were susceptible to all 10 antimicrobial agents, on the other hand 44-50% of the isolates from human and chicken meat were resistant to cefotaxime (CTX). Only 40% of the isolates from both susceptible group and CTX resistant group were sampled to analyse for plasmid using modified method of Kado and Liu. Most isolates contained a single 55 kilobases (kb) plasmid. Our study revealed that even the isolates from human and from chicken meat had different antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, they contained the same size of plasmid which indicated a close correlation between isolates and were derived from the same source. |
หัวเรื่อง:การศึกษาสายพันธุ์ที่สำคัญของเชื้อซัลโมเนลลา จากเนื้อไก่ในประเทศไทย ผู้เขียน:นางสุมาลี บุญมา, รองศาสตราจารย์, Chumpot Amatayaku, Aroon Bangtrakulnonth สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe serovars of Salmonella in the samples of chicken meat were assessed. In 1997, 22 serovars and 6 serovars of Salmonella were found in the 72 of 100 chicken meat samples purchased from ten retail markets in Bangkok and 20 of 200 samples from slaughterhouse for export. These serovars were predominantly identified as S. enteritidis contributed to 28% of retail chicken meat markets and 4.5% of the chicken meat from slaughterhouse for exportation. |
